What I can help you finance
Anything on the financial side of a farming operation. Most engagements involve two or three of these at once, because the pieces rarely move independently.
Operating lines
New lines and renewals. The most time-sensitive thing I work on — a line that isn’t in place by the time inputs need buying costs you real money in lost discounts.
Real estate loans
Farmland purchases, and mortgages against ground you already own to generate liquidity. Often the quietest way to solve a working capital problem.
Refinancing
Moving a loan off a lender who has lost interest, or onto terms that match how the operation actually generates cash through the year.
Restructures
Reworking existing debt — amortization, covenants, collateral, priority — to extend runway and take pressure off the coming season.
Debt consolidation
Several loans across several lenders with tangled liens is an obstacle in itself. Simplifying often unlocks more than lowering the rate would.
Equipment financing
Lease versus own analysis, refinancing short amortizations onto longer terms, and sale-leasebacks on iron you own free and clear.
Bridge loans
Short-term money to get from here to a known event — a land sale closing, an insurance settlement, a refinance that’s coming but not fast enough.
Distressed situations
Past-due payables, a lender preparing to exit, a workout already underway. Fewer lenders will look, but they exist, and the structure matters more than ever.
Don’t see your situation here?
These are the common ones, not the complete list. If it touches the financial side of a farming operation, it’s worth a phone call — and if I’m not the right person, I’ll tell you that too.
Know what you need? Let’s get moving.
The sooner the deep dive starts, the sooner a lender has something they can act on.
